The Manticore Arms ARClight Tavor Forend is the first of a revolutionary line of rail systems using the ARClight modular rail configuration! CLICK HERE TO SEE INSTALLATION VIDEO Made 100% right here in the USA of anodized aluminum and weighing just 4.0 ounces, the ARClight Tavor rail is a direct replacement for the standard Tavor polymer forend. Yes, you read that right- only 4.0 ounces, which is less than 2.0 ounces more than the stock handguard, but giving you far more flexibility to mount accessories wherever and whenever you need them. So what is the ARClight system? ARClight stands for Advanced Rail Chasis- lightweight. The ARClight system has been specially developed over the last year to combine the features of light weight, structural rigidity, good ventilation, and ergonomic comfort all into a single rail system. The ARClight slot system allows for the use of our ARClight lugged aluminum rails. ARClight rails have a lug on the back that engages the slot, which means you aren't just depending on the tightness of a screw to take all the loading and force on the rail, but that the rail becomes an integral part of the rail chassis, thus preventing it from slipping or shifting even under the heaviest of loads or sharpest of blows. So are you stuck using just the ARClight rails, yet another proprietary rail system that you can't use any other accessories on? NO! We recognized that there are a lot of great accessories and rails out there, and we can't make everything. Part of the development process of the ARClight was to make sure that the well known Magpul MOE polymer rails segments and most of the Impact Weapon Components Mount-n-Slot accessories would fit the ARClight system. Yeah, we like them so much we made our rail compatible with them! (Please note: If you are using the ARClight chassis to mount lasers or other items that need to retain zero, you should use only the ARClight lugged aluminum rails and not polymer or aftermarket rail segments.) Best of all the ARClight Tavor Rail comes in multiple trim levels to let you purchase only what you need to configure your rifle for your ideal application: TRIM LEVEL: NAKED The NAKED trim level is just the rail- a great value that lets you got with the suprisingly comfortable and ergonomic base handguard rail and add accessories later. Sturdy yet well ventilated, it is a great option even if you just want to get more airflow over the barrel to keep it cool while firing lots of rounds at a high tempo. TRIM LEVEL: FULLY LOADED The FULLY LOADED trim level is for those who aren't messing around and need it all and need it now. In addition to the base ARClight Tavor rail this package also includes the Light Ring for mounting your 1" diameter weapon light with tape switch INSIDE the handguard, one short 5 slot ARC LOK aluminum rail segment and one long 11 slot ARC LOK aluminum rail segment. The ARClight rail segments are lugged to fully engage the ARClight slots and use steel backer bares to lock down firmly. TRIM LEVEL: FULLY LOADED + IPSM KIT This trim level is the same as the FULLY LOADED, but also adds an Internal Pressure Switch Mount kit (IPSM kit) to your FULLY LOADED rail system, for only $10 more! (IPSM kit regular price is $17.95). We highly recommend this setup if you are running a light with pressure switch on your ARCLight forearm. PLEASE NOTE: If you have the 18" barrel IDF model Tavor with bayonet lug on the barrel, the ARClight rail will fit and you will be able to install the Light Ring, but the bayonet lug will prevent most lights from fitting (the light must mount flush with the front of the light ring, i.e. have a 1" bezel, and you will have the bayonet lug right in front of the light). If you have an 18" barrel Tavor with Bayonet lug, we recommend mounting the light externally. We are currently looking at both weapon lights and moutning solutions to accomodate aninternal light mounting setup on the 18" barrel guns.
